Cares to have in mind
-The maxilla must be healthy and have the right size. -The gums must not suffer any inflammation (periodontal disease, pyorrhea, tartar.) -Keep a good oral-dental hygiene after recieving the implant with regular visits to the dentist every 2 to 6 months. -Eliminate irritating factors, such as cigarettes (it is advisable no to smoke since 15 days before the implant and for 15 days after.) -Once the implant is on place the pacient must not tuch hard meals nor chew sticks or pencils.
It is important not to present any of these possibilities:
-Suffering from weakening and uncontroled diseases (diabetes, leukemia, hyperparathyroidism,etc.) -Being pregnant. -Having psychiatric or emotional disorders (chronic depression, bipolar disorder, etc.) -Using medicine that alters the bone metabolism (bisphosphonates, etc.) -Lacking motivation to continue the treatment.-lacking muscular coordination to proceed with the oral-dental hygiene.
